Award Description: The award for this new work project consists of dredging 2.7 million cubic yards from the Mobile Harbor Turning Basin and widening a portion of the Mobile Harbor Bay Channel with disposal of dredge materials in either offshore or upland disposal areas. The purpose of this contract is to deepen the Mobile Harbor Turning Basin and widen a portion of the Mobile Harbor Bay Channel.
Project Description: The Clamshell Dredge 53 and attendent plant, which includes scows, tugs and boats, mobilized to the site and dredged approximately 37,000 cubic yards in the third quarter of 2009.
