Award Description: The Recovery Act STOP Violence Against Women Program supports communities in their efforts to hire and retain criminal justice and victim services personnel that respond to violent crimes against women as a way to develop and strenghten effective law enforcement, prosecution strategies, and victim services in cases involving violent crimes against women.
Project Description: During the reporting period, PCCD released a competitive funding announcement soliciting applications to be presented at its December 2009 Commission meeting. After reviewing and scoring of applications is complete, up to 25 projects will be funded. There are no active subgrants during the initial reporting period. The March 31, 2010 reporting period will be the first report to contain sub-recipient information.
