Award Description: Students selected as scholarship recipients are students ?for whom the cost of attendance would constitute a severe financial hardship.? The students selected are from disadvantaged backgrounds and have a hardship in paying for the cost of their education. The Capstone College of Nursing works in collaboration with the University of Alabama?s Office of Financial Aid in identifying students who meet the selection criteria established by HRSA. Scholarship funds are awarded to eligible students who are in good academic standing. Scholarship recipients are sent a formal letter of notification and scholarship funds are applied to the student?s university account.
