Award Description: The Hualapai Tribe is utilizing the funding to create additional housing to reduce over-crowding, homelessness. The funding will augment a currently under-funded rental home construction project. The award amount will be utilized for actual construction of the homes. However, the initial stages of the project have been started.
Project Description: The project has contracted with a project manager and conducted a categorical exclusion on the position. The project manager has since prepared and issued RFP's for civil engineering, envirionmental assessment, and design services. All proposals have been received and evaluated. Contracts for these services are expected to be signed within the next 2 weeks of the date of this report. Prior to the revitalization of the construction project; approximately 50% of the civil engineering for the site and 75% of the environmental assessment for the housing site has been completed with Tribal funds.
