Award Description: Head Start 2009 ARRA COLA Quality Improvement Funding
Project Description: Project Description: ARRA COLA and Quality Funds were used to: *Provide professional development training to the teaching staff to improve staff qualifications. *Increase compensation and benefits to staff through a cost of living adjustment to improve the overall quality of the program. *Building/Maintenance repair for a major plumbing project which entailed digging up and replacing the sewer system from the building to the main sewer line. Quarterly Activities: *The teaching staff received a two day training in DECA (Devereux Early Childhood Assessment) *All Staff received a cost of living adjustment *The sewer system has been replaced.
