Award Description: The purpose of this award is to expand access to needed primary health care services specifically by expanding services at existing health center sites in an underserved area or for an underserved population.
Project Description: _____We have hired thus far .4 FTE mid level provider and a .16 Billing specialist; and retained 1.1 medical support staff.
Jobs Summary: This project addresses community need by increasing the capacity at 1 site through a combination of staffing additions that includes: adding 2 new part time medical providers; adding 2 support staff positions for these providers; and retaining 4 support staff positions to increase the efficiency of the current operations at this site. These additions will bring additional jobs to our hard hit community. Adding providers will decrease waiting times for appointments, open up many appointments for walk-ins and new patients, and provide reassurance to those unable to pay for their health care that they may be seen.
