Project Description: Assist States to make available special education and related services for children with disabilities age 3 through 5 years, and at a State's discretion, to 2 year old children with disabilities who will reach age three during the school year.
Infrastructure Description: The overall purpose of Wisconsin's investment of IDEA Recovery funds in school infrastructure is to improve the program for children with disabilities. All infrastructure investments support ARRA?s long-term economic goals by investing wisely and improving the short and long-term results for students with disabilities. The remodeling and construction projects in Wisconsin address deficits in specific program elements. Furthermore, Wisconsin's infrastructure investments provide children with disabilities access to all educational programs within a school building and integration with nondisabled peers.
