Award Description: Project consists of levee safety Periodic Inspections (PI) on 17 levee systems in Massachusetts and Connecticut. The purpose of PIs as outlined in U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) PI guidance is to verify proper operation and maintenance, evaluate operational adequacy and structural stability, review design criteria to validate current design standards are met, identify features to monitor over time, and improve the ability to communicate the overall condition. The USACE will add the PI report and associated data into the National Levee Database separate from this contract, and USACE will distribute the final PI report to other parties.
