Award Description: New Photovoltaic Roof for the GSA Veterans Administration Center consisting of demolishing the existing approx. 133,000 sq. ft roof, installing a new, four-ply torch applied modified roof, and installing 455.195 kW of photovoltaic panels with a self-ballasted non-penetrating racking system onto the new roof. The photovoltaic system will include 460 kW of inverters, a data aquisition system, and will be interconneted into the existing building service. The completed system will produce clean energy, and will reduce the amount of utility-provided energy needed to operate the building.
