Award Description: Construction Management Services for the New SSA National Service Center (NSC) Data Center including development of Program of Requirements for Design Build Solicitation, design and bid phase management, construction inspection, contract administration, commissioning, and occupancy services. New construction of the New SSA National Service Center (NSC) data center near Woodlawn MD. Project desired end state condition is to have a 308,000 GSF Tier III data center in accordance with the Uptime Institute standards and ISC Level 4 for anti-terrorism / force protection. The raised floor computer space is to be outfitted for an initial 10 year period at 100 watts/SF with expansion to 200 watts/SF for the years 11 through 20 with corresponding HVAC to support mainframe a servers. Also required is Tier III non-critical white space and Tier I burn-in / incubation space. The facility should provide infrastructure to meet the 200 watts/SF capacity along with a modular design to accomodate future expansion of the facility.
Project Description: Kick off meeting held with GSA and project shareholders, interviewed project end users to document existing hardware environments,develop programming elements to formulate computer hardware projections anddevelop projections for a 20 year plan. Draft Report being prepared for review.
