Jobs Summary: The Education Program Manager is responsible for the management and administration of the SFJAZZ High School All-Stars and Jazz in the Middle. Duties include: All-Stars: acting as the main point of contact for the students and parents; managing the annual audition weekend, including the scheduling of students, contracting of guest adjudicators and facilitating the auditions themselves; managing the annual rehearsal and performance calendar; booking and executing community performances; managing the All-Stars two annual performances at the San Francisco Jazz Festival and the SFJAZZ Spring Season; contracting annual guest clinicians; and yearly assessment and review of program success. Jazz in the Middle: developing curriculum as the program expands into sequential grades; managing the program schedule, including the booking of residencies, contracting teacher artists and communicating with classroom teachers; training of classroom teachers to prepare them for residencies; training, managing and hiring of teacher/artists; developing relationships with new campuses as the program expands; and assessing the program annually at the completion of the calendar year.
