Award Description: The Scope of Work for this project will consist of installing the necessary equipment for the control of HVAC equipment identified through the initial site survey of 136 buildings as identified by Fort Drum personnel. The intent of this scope is to remove the existing controls, and install new Siemens Apogee Ethernet field panels and accessories which will allow for monitoring and control of existing boilers, pumps, furnaces, CoRayVac, Air Handlers, Ceiling Hung Units, and Electric Heat. These new panels will be added to the existing UMCS VLAN and will be monitored/controlled from buildings T-4000 and T-4004. Please refer to the attached building list for detailed information for each building. This scope also consist of bringing power to the field panels and providing low voltage interconnecting wiring to the new end devices. All power wiring will be in conduit. All low voltage wiring in the mechanical/boiler rooms will be in conduit to a maximum height of 10 feet for vertical protection. All other wiring will be plenum rated cable. Fort Drum will be responsible for providing all necessary data drops in the mechanical room, and associated accessories for the Ethernet panels. Siemens electrical subcontractor will provide the necessary length of openly run, plenum rated Cat 6 Ethernet cable and connectors, from the new Apogee Ethernet Field Panel, to the new data drop being provided by Fort Drum, which will be located in the mechanical room. Electrical subcontractor will also be responsible for removing the existing FM system equipment located in the mechanical space.
Project Description: Provided design of Direct Digital Control System (DDC) for the project. Provided installation and checkout of DDC system in multiple buildings, including providing new DDC control panels, relays, current switches and wiring.
