Award Description: Provide all work associated with the installation of the backflow preventers at the Suitland Collections Center, including the National Museum of the American Indian - Cultural Resource Center (NMAI-CRC), Museum Support Center Greenhouses (MSCG), and Garber Facility (GF). Work includes installing new dedicated domestic water system to the Garber Facility, that is split from the fire water system, new fire pumps and fire pump house for the now dedicated fire water system, and backflow preventers for the Garber, MSCG, and CRC facilities, and all associated electrical and controls.
Project Description: All 1000 level submittals, and most material submittals transmitted. Utility markings have begun in the field. Material sourcing plan completed and sources identified. Work to be self-performed divided from work to be sub-contracted. RFPs out to potential subcontractors and primary subcontractor determined, but agreement not yet signed. Some materials beginning to be sourced. Awaiting submittal approvals to proceed. Human resources identified and being prepared for 4th quarter start onsite. All work to date (30SEP09) performed by CFM Engineering.
