Award Description: The Grundy Housing Authority is receiving funds under the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act Public Housing Capital Fund Program. These funds are being utilized for the moderization of public housing dwelling units at one public housing site (110 total dwelling units). Improvements include a new bus shelter, flooring, roofing, and kitchen and bathroom renovations. This work will be bid as one construction contract and it will provide jobs for architectural/engineering consultants and construction contractors (plumbers, carpenters, painters, roofers, tile installers, other specialty trades and general laborers).
Project Description: The work under this program is currently in the design phase. The competitive bidding process and construction start are scheduled for November, 2009.
Jobs Summary: ARRA funding has resulted in the creation of jobs for Architectural/Engineering firm staff including architect, engineers, inspector and administrative staff.
