Award Description: Installation of energy savings roof at the Arts & Sports Complex - $332,700 - Design and installation of energy savings roof at City Hall - $412,700 - Civic Center Parking Structure energy saving lighting replacement - $98,000 - Vehicle Maintenance Bay energy saving lighting replacement - $18,800 - High efficiency HVAC unit replacement at Social Services Center - $73,500

Project Description: The CIty formed the Greener Norwalk Task Force in July 2009, and had monthly meetings in July, August, and September. Energy conservation outreach information was distributed to City employees in August and September. Lastly, energy conservation information was also included in the August and September editions of the Norwalk NOW newspaper. City staff started researching specifications for new HVAC equipment and lighting. City staff also met with architect/roof contractors to discuss design / process for installation of roof at Sports Complex and City Hall.
