Award Description: The State Appliance Rebate Program will utilize existing utility infrastructure to supplement existing rebate efforts and target specific rebate opportunity areas to assist consumers with replacing inefficient appliances.
Project Description: Program Initial Application successfully submitted to DOE on 8/13/09. Contact made and input received from California's Publicly Owned and Investor Owned Utilities. Contact also made with energy offices of 15 other states to coordinate and compare notes (7 responses at present). Energy Commission staff are currently working to draft Program Plan for inclusion in comprehensive application to DOE.
