Award Description: Scope of Work - Reconstruct Magazine Road at Fort Polk, LA. WORK TO BE DONE: Perform all work as necessary for the construction of a new IED Lane for Operations Group O/C Division. Work shall be done in accordance with the appropriate building codes and requirements specifications unless otherwise indicated. SITE CLEARING AND PREPARATION: Prepare site for the placement of fill material and stone base. Site demolition cold plane 3? and remove asphalt pavement and base course material and dispose on post at designated areas. Excavation and embankment excavate and backfill 3 ?of material in roadway boundaries as to contract specifications. Base Course 9? stone base shall be placed on roadway 25? wide. SITE MAINTENANCE: The contractor shall take necessary measures to control erosion of existing disturbed areas. When construction is complete, the contractor shall make sure any disturbed areas are returned to before construction quality. Paving Roadway: Contractor shall furnish and pave one or more courses of asphaltic concrete in conformity with lines, grades and thickness as directed by PM. UTILITIES: Locate all existing utilities and protect during construction. (includes Gas, sewer, electrical, water, and communications) Contractor shall tie into closest available utilities and run lines to mechanical room for
