Award Description: The proposed uses of the grant funds includes the following: repairs and modifications that will improve the accessibility and safety within the public housings developments; upgrades to public housing information technology software and hardware systems as an initial effort toward a paperless, wireless and seamless business environment; increase the number of public housing units and low income housing unit by investing in mix-financed opportunities to acquire developments or construct new developments; consulting services as necessary to achieve objectivesImprovements.
Project Description: 1)A&E Services for design of new stair and landing structures for replacement of existing deteriorating structures at 51 locations. 2)Consulting Service for Physical Needs Assessment for all Housing Developments. 3) Security System Upgrades for four high rises, one community center and one mult-family development to include connectivity to the local police department real-time crime detection center. 4)A&E Services to provide model design to install and/or replace shower panels on wet walls at multiple locations. 5) Design services for replacement of roof covering at two high rises. 6)Roof covering replacement and roof structure and fascia repair for Multifamily Development at multiple locations.
