Award Description: Rental Assistance Payments
Project Description: Eskaton Washington Manor offers affordable housing to seniors 62 years or older and mobility-impaired adults over the age of 18. It is subsidized by HUD (U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development); therefore, income criteria applies. Eskaton Washington Manor is an Eskaton-managed community. Eskaton, a nonprofit corporation, has been committed to serving communities in Northern California since 1968. Eskaton's primary mission is 'to enhance the quality of life of seniors through innovative health, housing, and social services.' A nonsmoking policy applies to this location.
Jobs Summary: ADMINISTRATOR: This position directs and manges the overall operations of the facility, ensures that quality srvices are provided, that the physical plant is maintained, and that financial targets are achieved. Major areas of responsibility incude resident relations, human resources, comunications, financia management, marketing, iperations, planning, building and grounds maintenance, administration, quality assurance, and compliance with HUD regulations. SERVICE COORDINATOR: Provides general case management (including intake) and referral services to all residents needing such assistance. OFFICE MANAGER/COS: This position requires a strong support role for the housing administrator by performing a wide variety of duties: Coordinating and manging activities, managing annual recertificaitons, telephone, record-keeping, tenant and applicant correspondence, visitor control, assisting in management issues, customer service, rental information, and various duties involving close interaction with tenants, maintenance and the administrator. MAINTENANCE SUPERVISOR: Under the general direction of the facility administrator, the Maintenance Supervisor performs and/or is repsonsible for the completing work detailed in the comprehesive preventative maintenance systema nd safety program for the facility'sbuildings and grounds, and perfomrs tasks associated with the maintenance and repair of the facility. MAINTENANCE ASSISTANT: Under the direction of the Maintenance Supervisor, the Maintenance Assistanct performs preventive maintenance, repairs and imporvements to the building and grounds to keep the facility's appearance attractive and the physical plant well maintained. HOUSEKEEPER: The housekeeper is responsible for the overall cleanliness of the facility's public areas and the cleaning of apartments upon vacancy.
