Award Description: Our program, through the use of this funding, will be able to retain our high quality staff members through the designated COLA amount. Our front line service providers are receiving further compensation through designated training that addresses the special needs of the children we are currently serving, and their families. This is happening through attendance at local and national conferences that address specific needs for children with disabilities, as well as through bringing in specialists to work with our staff on these important family and child issues. Trhough this funding award we are also able to retain our Health Services Specialist full time, ensuring our staff has the tools they need to promote optimum health among our program children in compliance with all the performance standards, as well as retaining community partnerships through regular communication, information-sharing, and capacity-building.
Project Description: Funding this quarter was used to fund our Health Services Specialist Position, and for providing imperative and timely training for our front-line services workers for their work with families.
Jobs Summary: Through this funding award we are able to have a full-time Health Services Specialist, which will ensure our 64 plus children and their families receive the needed information, training, and help through our staff that will promote optimum health, which leads to school readiness and healthy life habits.
