Award Description: Plans and Specs for Falls Tailrace Recreation Improvements, Falls Lake, Wake County, NC

Project Description: Project is located northwest of Raleigh, NC and includes parking lot resurfacing, various erosion and sediment control improvements, streambank restoration and replacement of a pedestrian bridge. 95% construction documents (Plans, Specs, basis of design report, cost estimate and geotechnical report) were submitted to USACE on 29 Sep 2009. Expect to submit final construction document on/about 18 NOV 2009. This will result in a significant decrease in off-site erosion and sedimentation, and increase ease of movement for both pedestrian and vehicular traffic.
