Award Description: The purpose of the Homelessness Prevention and Rapid Re-Housing Program (HPRP) is to provide homelessness prevention assistance to households who would otherwise become homeless—many due to the economic crisis—and to provide assistance to rapidly re house persons who are homeless as defined by section 103 of the McKinney-Vento Homeless Assistance Act (42 U.S.C. 11302). ACRM will provide financial assistance to homeless persons to obtain housing or to persons in imminent risk of losing their housing so as to prevent homelessness. In addition, services to be provided include assistance with locating housing as well as case management and referral to services so that they may achieve self-sufficiency and stabilize their housing.
