Award Description: Design of Repair Radiology Clinic Air Handling Units Madigan Army Medical Center, Bldg. 9040, Ft. Lewis, WA Repair of the PACS Computer Room HVAC system. This work consists of providing a design work plan to modify the HVAC system serving the PAC Computer Room. Design will include removal of the two existing spot cooler units and installation of replacement units. Calculated cooling load of both existing and future computer equipment shall be used to determine the capacity of the new spot coolers. These coolers shall include humidifiers and provide for PACS Computer Room humidification control. Electrical power for the spot cooler shall be feed from an Equipment Critical MCC. Spot coolers shall be arranged in the PACS Computer Room to provide consistent even cooling without hot spots to all areas of the raised floor supply air plenum and effectively direct warmed room air back to spot cooler return air intakes. Spot coolers shall be redundant to assure continuous air conditioning is provided to the room in the event to a failure to the primary spot cooler unit. The PACS computer room spot coolers shall be capable of operation using chiller water from the auxiliary chiller (EWCU#7) or the central air conditioning unit. Design for the installation of the (1) return air grille in each of the 2 office spaces (room 1-48-11, 1-48-12) connecting the grills to the AHU-40 return air system, to restore proper room air change rates to theses room.
