Award Description: The HPRP grant award is for the purpose of providing homelessness prevention assistance to households who would otherwise become homeless, and to provide assistance to rapidly re-house persons who are homeless as defied by section 103 of the McKinney-Vento Homeless Assistance Act. HPRP funds will be used to provide financial assistance such as rental assistance, security and utility deposits, and moving cost assistance to eligible Daly City residents. Households receiving financial assistance will be required to meet with a case manger and develop an individualized housing and service plan. The program aims to provide financial assistance to at least 60 households so that they can remain stably housed.
Project Description: For quarter completed, the Recipient issued a Request for Proposal to implement program; selected SubRecipient; and entered into agreement with SubRecipient. For upcoming quarter, the Recipient and SubRecipient will fine tune processes and program implementation and begin reaching out to eligible program participants and providing services to help them achieve stable housing.
