Award Description: CDBG-R funds will be used for village administrative costs and to fund a demolition program.
Project Description: The environmental review record and public comment period is completed. HUD Form 7015 should be received by HUD's Region 5 Environmental Officer by October 20. The Building Inspection Department is compiling a list of properties that may be eligible for demolition. As properties are identified, the historic preservation review process begins and the property owner is contacted to discuss their willingness to participate in the program and the terms of the demolition. No demolitions have occurred to date.
