Award Description: The Town is utilizing the RD-ARRA fund to assist with the construction of a Fire Station to benefit the residents of the Town and persons residing within a five (5) mile radius of the station. This facility will have sleeping quarters and a kitchen because it will be designed for future use which includes the hiring of full time fire fighters. The building is designed to be approximately 6,062.2 square feet in size, with three truck bays and facilities for ambulance services. The Town will provide $83,375.00 and CDBG will provide $183,375.00 toward the completion of this project.
Project Description: Plans and Specifications are being prepared and are to be submitted to Rural Development for approval. Other data related to contract conditions is being prepared.
