Award Description: The Georgia Ports Authority was awarded a National Clean Diesel Funding Assistance Program Grant to fund a retrofit project targeting approximately 47 cargo handling equipment units in the Georgia Ports Authority's Garden City Terminal fleet. The general purpose of the grant is to reduce diesel emissions and improve air quality.

Project Description: GPA is currently preparing the RFB (Request for Bid) for two EPA grants (one ARRA and the other non-ARRA) and is identifying the cargo handling equipment units to be retrofitted under each grant. Award of both grants is anticipated to occur during the next quarter.
