Award Description: Project 1 -- Big Belly Solar Trash Compactor: Purchase compactor to reduce length of route to 4.5 miles and an avg. fuel usage of 24.75 gallons and 705.375 pounds of greenhouse gas emmision per route. Project 2 -- S. Rogers Street LED Lighting Program: Achieve a reduction in energy consumption by utilizing energy efficient LED lights whichwill reduce electricity consumption by 4,001.13 kWh per year or 333.43 kWh per month. Project 3 -- Day lighting and solar cover program: Installation of these items will reduce energy consumption for City Hall by an estimated 824,715 kWh over a 3 year period of time. Project 4 -- Fire Headquarters Attic Insulation: Increase insulation to an R rating of 38 which will reduce energy consumption by an estimated 65,658 kWh over a 3 year period of time. Project 5 - Traffic Facility Insulated Overhead Garage Door: Due to an emergency repair, this door has already been replaced. Will contact DOE for further instructions. Project 6 -- Energy Audit of City Buildings: Will conduct energy audits of various city owned facilities to determine necessary improvements to reduce energy consumption. Project 7 -- Sportsplex HVAC Optimization: Optimization of the HVAC and related duct work will reduce energy consumption by 15% or an estimated average of 29,976 per year.
