Project Description: Support elementary, secondary and postsecondary, and early childhood education programs; Hire and Retain Teachers and reduce potential layoffs; Cover budget shortfalls or gaps in states budgets and restore funding cuts to programs; Improve student achievement through school improvement and reform; Make progress toward rigorous college-and career-ready standards, including English Language for Learners ( referred to hereafter as ELL) and Individuals with Disabilities Education Act(referred to hereafter as IDEA); Establish Pre-K to College and Career Data Systems; Make improvements in teacher effectiveness and equitable distribution of qualified teachers; Provide intensive support and effective interventions for the lowest performing schools.
