Award Description: Educational technology state grants to states to improve student academic achievement through the innovative use and the effective integration of new and emerging technology with teacher training, curriculum development, and successful research-based instructional methods in elementary and secondary schools.

Project Description: Fifty percent of funds distributed to Local Educational Agencies by formula to improve student achievement and technology literacy through the integration of technology, and fifty percent of funds for two competitive grant programs: Enhanced Peer Coaching, to prepare peer coaches on technology integration; and Teaching and Learning in the 21st Century, to provide professional development on the basics on integrating technology into standards-based curricula. State Education Agency non-administrative activities include development of case studies, professional development, and program evaluation.
