Award Description: Wireless Sleep Monitor: The focus of the SBIR Phase I project is to develop and test a robust Doppler radar system for sleep monitoring.
Project Description: Personnel in place: Senior Director of R&D; Research underway: research is currently being conducted to determine optimum frequency of operation for a Doppler radar based wireless sleep monitor. Two frequencies being considered are 2.4 GHz and 5.8 GHz. Algorithm development is also under way to determine the degree of 'paradoxical breathing' for obstructive sleep apnea detection.
