Award Description: Assist those affected by the recession through the preservation of existing affordable communities by acquiring, renovating and modernizing the units so they may be energy efficient, safe, decent, affordable housing units. Preserve and create jobs by renovation and modernization of existing properties so they may be energy efficient, safe, decent, affordable public housing units.

Project Description: Planning for the acquisition, rehabilitation and modernization of units to provide energy efficient, safe, decent and affordable public housing units.

Jobs Summary: The ARRA funds the RHA has received is an integral part of an overall strategy to meet vital affordable community housing needs. Among these needs is the retainage of 1 ? full-time and 3 part time experienced staff of professionals that will oversee the project(s) through the effective administration and implementation of the funds for the ARRA program as it relates to the preservation of existing affordable housing in the greater Rochester Community.
