Award Description: Idaho's Statewide 5311 Rural Transit ARRA program supports 1 prime recipient and 26 sub-recipients. The prime recipient has 3 statewide projects (develop statewide performance management system, statewide communication project and statewide mobility association startup) and the 26 sub-recipient have 62 projects: 01: City of Dover, 1 expansion vehicle and park & ride facility, 02: City of Ponderay, construction of bike & pedestrian access to transit, 03: Coeur d?Alene Tribe, 2 replacement vehicles and 1 maintenance facility, 04: North Idaho Community Express: 3 replacement vehicles, 05: Panhandle Area Council: develop regional mobility management project in ITD District 1, 06: City of Moscow, 1 replacement vanpool vehicle, shelters and ADA accessible sidewalks to transit locations, 07: Clearwater Economic Development Association: develop regional mobility management project in ITD District 2, 08: Council on Ageing and Human Service, purchase 2 vehicles, 09: Northwest Stage Lines, purchase 1 vehicle, 10: City of McCall, construct ADA accessible sidewalks and shelters at transit locations, 11: Community Planning Association of Southwest Idaho, develop regional mobility management project in ITD District 3, 12: Valley Regional Transit: purchase two wheelchair access Taxis for rural transit service and preventive maintenance project, 13: Treasure Valley Transit, 9 vehicles (8 replacement and 1 expansion), preventive maintenance, bus stop signage and mobility management in ITD District 3, 14:Salt Lake Express, purchase 1 forty foot replacement bus and 6 replacement vans, 15: Living Independence Network Corporation, 1 expansion vehicle, 16: Mountain Rides, purchase 3 thirty foot replacement vehicles, 2 intercity type vehicles and 7 expansion vans, construct passenger shelter, provide preventive maintenance to transit fleet and implement Mobility Management advertising and marketing project for ITD District 4, 17: City of Sun Valley, construct bus turnouts and shelters, 18: Bannock Transportation Planning Organization, purchase 6 expansion vanpool vehicles, 19: Franklin County Medical Center, purchase 1 replacement vehicle, 20: Yellowstone Business Partnership, develop regional mobility management project in ITD Districts 5 and 6, and neighboring states, Montana and Wyoming, 21: Targhee Regional Public Transportation Authority, purchase computer hardware, surveillance equipment and radios, purchase approximately 3 rural replacement vehicles for intercity services, and 9 replacement vehicle for rural service, 22: Teton Senior Center, purchase 1 used expansion vehicle, 23: City of Victor, construct park & ride and transit access, 24: Boise Basin Senior Center, construct carport, 25: City of Riggins, provide mobility management, preventive maintenance, 26: Southern Teton Area Rapid Transit, lease secured parking facility. Project Description: Quarter ending September 30, 2009, Idaho's Rural ARRA projects: ITD has signed agreements with 18 of the 26 sub-recipients for a total of $6,804,238 of the $7,912,150 awarded. Signed contracts for the remaining 8 sub-recipients for the remaining $1,107,912 is expected in October 2009. The prime recipient has entered into contracts for a statewide communication campaign and a statewide mobility association to develop and coordinate local, regional and statewide mobility needs, which will start October 2009. The prime recipient is also developing a technology procurement to develop and implement a statewide performance management system, which is slated to be released in January 2010. Description of Sub-recipient Projects: Mobility Management Projects: The Multi-state cooperative project in Idaho, Wyoming and Montana is underway as well as southwest Idaho mobility coordination efforts. Two of the other three Mobility Management projects are going through a hiring process and will start in October 2009. Preventive Maintenance: Five sub-recipients will start vehicle and facility preventive maintenance in October, 2009. Vehicle: A coalition of statewide agencies and private providers are developing a transit vehicle procurement that is slated to close in December 2009 and vehicle orders submitted in January 2010. Minor Construction: Procurements for minor construction project for ADA shelters, sidewalks to transit locations, and stops, will be released in October and November and with weather permitting will be completed in 2009 or will have to wait until the spring of 2010 to be constructed. Large Construction: Final design for the maintenance facility (in Worley, Idaho) and park & ride facility (in Victor, Idaho) will start in November and the construction will begin in spring of 2010.
