Infrastructure Description: The City of Willow River wastewater improvement project will upgrade the treatment pond system so that it functions within the requirements of the MPCA. The project will preserve and create jobs which will help the economic recovery in this low income area. The project is an investment that will environmentally help protect the community by keeping the ground water clean and allowing the expansion of the community which will have long term economic genefits. Due to the improvement of the treatment system, peo;le and businesses are more likely to move to Willow River and this will promote economic development.
