Award Description: The ARRA provides incentives and support for the adoption of certified electronic health records (EHRs) for Medicare and Medicaid eligible professional and hospitals. The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) is overseeing and administering the incentive program in coordination with the Office of the National Coordinator for Health Information Technology (ONC). In support of this initiative, CMS is planning a two-day Multi-State collaborative conference to address several aspects of implementation critical to increased State understanding and adoption. Successful ARRA implementation will require CMS to education and coordinate with the States on the provisions related to health information technology. The conference will address several aspects of implementation critical to increased State understanding and adoption. It will also be an opportunity for State to meet with Federal officials in person to share information and best practices with other States. B L Seamon will provide meeting support and services for CMS. The audience for the event will be approximately 350 people, including Federal representatives. B L Seamon will furnish the necessary personnel, materials, facilities and equipment to accomplish the tasks needed to plan, prepare and execute the Multi-State Collaborative Second Annual Conference. Tasks will include site arrangements, hotel and travel arrangements, conference agenda, meeting formats and onsite support, reproduction of materials and participant logistics. Deliverables will also include weekly meeting notes, a monthly status report and a 50-page summary report of the conference.
