Award Description: The work under this Task Order will support the work of the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ) Effective Health Care program established under Section 1013 of the Medicare Modernization Act (MMA) and augmented by the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA). Under this Task Order, the EPC will advance research methods and update methods guidance for a given area. The EPC will develop identify, prioritize, and coordinate empiric methods research projects that will contribute to and build the validity of systematic review studies, and provide scientific support to the EPC program to advancing best practices within their given area among the EPCs. Activities will include empiric methods research, maintenance of updated methods guidance within the specific area, and limited scientific support for the EPC program within the given area. 1. Advance Research Methods Within the given area, the EPC shall develop a list of potential methods research projects, assist in prioritization of research projects in collaboration with other selected EPCs, SRC, and TOO, and coordinate, lead or conduct prioritized research in collaboration with other EPCs. 2. Coordinate with other selected EPCs and the Scientific Resource Center to provide Scientific Support for the EPC Program.
