Award Description: The goal of the Institute for Family Health’s IDS initiative is to retain and expand jobs and promote access to health care for underserved populations in two regions of New York State: New York City and the Mid-Hudson Valley. We will expand access to primary care, mental health, and oral health services by hiring new providers and support staff at three of our sites.
Project Description: Since receiving an IDS grant award, we have hired 1 FTE physician, .50 FTE psychiatrist, 1 FTE social worker, 1 FTE nurse, 2 FTE patient support staff. We have retained 1 FTE patient support staff position.
Jobs Summary: We have hired 1 FTE physician, .50 FTE psychiatrist, 1 FTE social worker, 1 FTE nurse, and 2 FTE patient support staff. In addition, we have retained 1 FTE patient support staff position. Adding providers and support staff will decrease waiting time for appointments , open up appointment availability for new patients, and will allow us to care for more uninsured patients.
