Award Description: The scope of this requirement is to provide support for the planning and estimating of construction projects and the repair and alteration projects funded by the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA). Specifically, the team - • Prepares initial cost estimate and updates the cost estimate during the project development phase. • Confirms final cost estimate as the independent government estimate (IGE) before the Contracting Officer issues a Request for proposal. • Performs Technical Evaluation of Determination of Price Reasonableness. • Provides technical cost evaluation assistance. • Participates in negotiations with contractors to assist the project team with pricing issues. • Develops monthly status report that will contain work accomplished, project issues and risks, and planned activities for the next week.
Project Description: Projects during this quarter include the following: 1. Atlanta Federal Center roofing projects estimates. 2. Hattiesburg, MS William Colmar Federal Bldg estimates. 3. Cobb County, GA FBI space bid cost review.
