Award Description: Upgrade selected seismic stations of the Western Great Basin Seismic Network. The hardware of the current network is out of date and in need of upgrades in the areas of DAS, sensors, telemetry and infrastructure. The proposal submitted develops a strategic plan to upgrade a number of the station s of the network utilizing a relatively large amount of GFE. In addition, funds are requested to improve the infrastructure of the NSL facility with the addition of a new backup generator and HVAC system for the computing center. Funds are also requested for upgrades to the network acquisition software, perofrmance metrics and their webpage.
