Award Description: ADAPTIVE COMBUSTOR TECHNOLOGY FOR THE HIGH EFFICIENT TURBINE ENGINE (HEETE) PROGRAM

Project Description: The Aerodynamic Engineer performs the job to defining the configuration and aerodynamic performance and gaseous emissions prediction, defined the tools to use to optimize the emissions and aero configuration needed to minimize the emission signature. The configuration challenges and technical barriers shall be defined by the Aerodynamic Engineer. The Aerodynamic Engineer also is responsible to the combustion reaction inside the combustor module. The Performance Engineer is responsible to oversee the combustion module as a part of the holistic engine. The performance code to be used in this program is NPSS and the performance engineer will arrive at optimized engine sizing and engine performance conditions to comply with the Weapon System Contractor (WSC) mission requirements. The Combustion module initial and boundary conditions are initially defined in the engine performance. The Performance Engineer is responsible to making sure that the combustion module fits within the engine module assumptions in order for the entire propulsion system to produce thrust per the customer mission requirements for both VAATE Mobility and ISR applications. Management is defined here several tier management selected by LibertyWorks to setup the program, track and monitor the performance of the program both in labor and cost, and complying with the CDRL requirements of the program both milestones and deliverables.
