Award Description: This grant was to hire an undergraduate student for the summer to accelerate the project of the parent grant. This was successful. We hired Wenyuan Wang, who worked very hard and accomplished a great deal of work that will go into a future publication relating to leukemia.

Project Description: As defined in the Award Description field

Jobs Summary: The student will be an undergraduate student of the highest caliber. The student will perform screening of the candidate genes for their role in hematopoietic differentiation and commitment. The project will require at least 40 hours for three months to accomplish the goals of both enhancing the career development of the student, as well as accelerating the pace of the research, especially because a student with little experience will require at least 3 to 4 weeks to become significantly productive. The student will be supervised. (Total jobs reported: 1)
