Award Description: Acquisition of a 17-acre site with parking facilities, renovation of a 71,000 sq. ft. building and construction of a 3,000 sq. ft. attached presentation/ conference building to create the Technology, Innovation and Entrepreneurship (TIE) Canter. The TIE Center will include job training activities and a manufacturing/technology and business/office incubator, with space for administrative support, meeting room and common areas.
Project Description: The Scottsburg TIE Center will function as a high-tech business incubator that will also provide technological support, training and facilities to companies and entrepreneurial endeavors, and improve the capabilities of innovative organizations to adopt and deploy technology. The TIE Center will ultimately provide new high-wage employment and high-technology business opportunities for the citizens of Scottsburg and surrounding areas.
