Award Description: Employment Service/Wagner-Peyser State Grants: To provide individuals with a wide range of employment-related services including assessment of skill levels, abilities and aptitudes, career guidance when appropriate, job search workshops, and referral to employers for job opportunities
Project Description: RES: Activities designed to help individuals find work and get off unemployment. These activities include, but are not limited to, assessment interview, assessment orientation, job search planning, and workforce information services. WP: Ongoing job service activities to help individuals find work at a self-sufficient wage. These activities include, but are not limited to: job search and placement activities, workshops, job development and referrals to partner programs. The Kansas Department of Commerce experienced a timing issue related to requesting funds to cover ARRA expenditures; thus, the expenditures are greater than the funds that were received as of 09/30/09.
