Award Description: Rehabilitate Taxiway 'A' (approximately 10,587 ft X 75 ft), including lighting, signage, and marking.
Project Description: Work to include overlay paving, installation of conduit for lighting, taxiway edgelighting improvements, and replacement of taxiway signage.
Infrastructure Description: To invest in transportation infrastructure that will provide long-term economic benefits, and to preserve and create jobs and promote economic recovery.
Jobs Summary: Jobs created include operating engineers, laborers, slurry seal workers, teamsters, and members of other parking and highway improvement trades. The ARRA funding provided the means to employ and pay for labor and materials to complete the project, thereby providing a living wage to those who worked on the project and those in the community who supply them with housing, clothing, transportation, and food.
