Award Description: This fund is an ARRA diversity administrative supplement to Parent Fund #54862C entitled, 'M-RISP at SDSU.' This supplemental funding will provide a two-year full-time research employment opportunity for a postdoctoral student. The candidate will gain valuable training and visibility in the academic and scientific community through contacts and exchanges that the M-RISP generates. The candidate will receive extensive training in research on implicit (unconscious or automatic) cognitions related to mental health outcomes. The training provided will lay the foundations for a grant proposal on the interconnections between multicultural identity and mental health. In addition, the candidates' involvement with the M-RISP and contributions to one of the funded sub-projects will accelerate the tempo of the scientific research on the active grant.
