Award Description: Grant award that included 1.84% cost of living over 12 month period effective 7/1/09 for Head Start and Early Head Start. These funds provided two weeks curriculum and special needs training for the all teaching staff. It also extends the program year.

Project Description: The current quarterly activities / projects achieved that all teaching staff receive curriculum training to improve skills in math and literacy in the classroom. Teachers received disabilities training to improve observation, assessment and monitoring of children with special needs within the classroom. The cost of living funding began 7/1/09 and will continue for the required 12 month period. Program supplies to improve classroom have been purchased - expected delivery October 2009.
