Award Description: The City of Tracy Energy Efficiency and Conservation Block Grant Project is to develop an Energy Efficiency and Conservation Strategy (strategy). The proposed strategy will be a process for improving economic, environmental, and energy sustainability by producing a comprehensive action plan for significantly reducing the municipality and community's non-renewable energy use and dependency, and improve its ability to plan for economic, environmental, and energy changes. The process will allow the City to create a community-supported policy, regulatory, and implementation plan to achieve its desired outcomes.
Project Description: Received grant award and prepared contract with consultant to prepare citywide energy efficiency and conservation strategy with block grant funds. Issued a Notice to Proceed to consultant to begin initial tasks (background research) until the contract is awarded by City Council later this month.
