Award Description: Performing environmental assessment activities at eligible Brownfields properties contaminated with petroleum located at the target community.
Project Description: A representative of the City of Alexandria attended one pre-award EPA training session in Dallas, TX to review paperwork associated with initiating the grant award and activities. The City of Alexandria also advertised and received responses to a Request for Qualifications (RFQ) for the contractual environmental work required under the grant. The City of Alexandria has also begun to identify potentially eligible sites for Petroleum Brownfields Assessments.
