Award Description: The City of Clarkston will use their Recovery Act JAG award for technology enhancements and training. Specifically, JAG funds will be used to purchase new computors and a new printer and to replace outdated systems in the department. In addition, JAG funds will be used for advanced training courses such as basic SWAT, firearms training and less lethal projectile certification training for police officers. This training will provide officers with specialized skills and knowledge to better prepare the police department to respond to active shooter incidents.

Project Description: An Officer attended less lethal projectile training and received certification. The officer now has specialized training that better prepares our department to respond to active shooter incidents.
