Award Description: The Community Development Block Grant - Recovery Act (CDBG-R) funding being received by Lake County will fund mostly hard development costs associated with infrastructure activities that provide basic services to Lake County residents. Lake County's activities will meet the requirements of Title XII of Division A and Section 1602 of the ARRA by providing or preserving jobs in the County, where the jobless rate has risen to 10.6 %. Through the seven activities planned, not including the Administration activity, it is estimated that 52 full time jobs will be retained or created.

Once activities begin, the jobs reporting methodology explained in the HUD Recovery Act Jobs Reporting document will be used and reported in the January 2010 report. (Total jobs reported: 52)
